Nesting / Special Body Binding for VIRTUOSO series
FUJIGEN's original body mainframe technique
Nesting is the process of combining two woods in a body by implanting a top of one wood into a mainframe of another. The excavation of the mainframe is done by CNC routers.
FUJIGEN has been the world's first guitar factory introducing CNC routers and keeps working with the best and newest models and skilled in-house programming.
See below how nesting is done.
When we manufacture nesting bodies, we first process body-top and body-back separately.
Producing nesting bodies, the affinities of the different materials for each other and their sound qualities have to be observed, a know how we at FUJIGEN have gathered by intense research and long experience.
We use our own formulation of glue.
After hardened the bonds, we remove the clamps.
Then, we can see the body-top material which covered into body-back materials very closely as right picture.

Finally, the combined blocks are planed and shaped into guitar bodies by CNC routers.
